Where do you get your inspiration from? The most ordinary things can be inspiring. Take the leaves on the bushes growing outside the rented house we are staying in. Their green and yellow leaves were the inspiration for today’s watercolor.
I tend not to paint things exactly as they are. I prefer to interpret them in my own way. If I wanted to paint something exactly like the object I was looking at I could take a photograph of it. I prefer to paint in a way that is an interpretation of the original subject matter.
The blues, greens and yellows of the leaves and the blue vase work well together. Once again the watercolors bled into each other creating an interesting effect.
Tomorrow’s post will contain three different watercolors in the one post. I need to catch up. While on holidays its easy to have the time to paint. When back at work next week I’ll have to find time to paint and photograph the painting at the beginning or the end of the day.
How do you find time in your day to pursue your creative passion?
