It’s time for a new year and new beginnings. Around June last year I was tired and uninspired. After 5 years of blogging here and sharing on instagram, I felt drained. My ideas bucket was empty. Everything I created seemed to look and feel the same. So I decided to start something new. I felt a fresh beginning would give me the change I needed.
With renewed enthusiasm I created a new website under a new name. I was excited about this shiny new beginning. I wanted the new blog to focus on art and painting illustrations rather than embroidery.
The last 10 months have been a time for rest and reflection. Over the Christmas and New Year break I came to realise that I can combine photography, illustrations and embroidery in a new way right here. I don’t have to start a new blog.
Sometimes its about appreciating what you have right in front of you rather than starting chasing something new elsewhere.
