Is it Easter yet my youngest son asked me this morning?
The Easter break is a four day long holiday in Australia. We have the Friday and Monday as public holidays. It is a very long break but one we look forward to each year.
It’s a time to stitch Easter rabbits, collect eggs and eat hot cross buns. Its also a time for family and reflecting on the true meaning of Easter. Sacrifice, forgiveness, gratitude.
As I was thinking about Easter I wandered over to see what Matthew Meade and Martha Stewart were doing. I also visited Purl Bee for one of their Easter bag projects and then to Gazette 94 for two very cute rabbit cross stitch projects. Last but not least a few ideas over at Australian Better Homes and Garden, Lots of beautiful things to enjoy over the next few days.
How’s this clever and easy idea by Matthew Meade. All you need is a rabbit stencil and some icing sugar. Looks easy but I wonder if it really is?
As usual Martha Stewart offers all kinds of creative projects. My favourite is the bunny ears serviette.
The Purl Bee has some cute Easter bags to whip up. This project comes from an older blog post on their website but I love these cute and easy rick rack bags to make for the kids;
Gazette 94 has these gorgeous Easter cross stitch charts on her blog. The charts are super easy to follow you should have these cute rabbits stitched in no time if you start now :)
Last but not least for an Australian contribution to this list, why not make fabric covered Easter eggs by Australian Better Homes and Garden
Will be back on Saturday and in the meantime stay happy and take care xxx
