More watercolor illustrations

I hope you are enjoying your weekend in the sunshine. The weather has been glorious with sunshine and no wind. Perfect for spending time outside.

It’s been a busy few weeks with plenty of quick watercolor illustrations mostly about cats, tea and flowers.

It’s always interesting to start off with a blank sheet of paper and a rough idea of what I want to draw. By the time the image is on paper and in full color the end result is sometimes surprising.

Of all the art forms I like illustrating with black pen and using watercolors to bring the image to life. I’m planning to create a series of hand painted illustrated cards for the shop so stay tuned.

Yes, I am also finishing off the illustrated alphabet chart. Working on the letter Z and the last few numbers. It’s been hard to stay focussed on finishing that off as there are so many new shiny projects I’d like to work on.

In the meantime the last few weeks were about pugs, cats, girls and their cats and time for tea.

I’d like to take a moment to pray for the families who have been affected by the horrific incident in the Bourke Street mall on Friday. Twenty people were injured and 5 people killed  including children when a man drove his car into the crowd. It’s been a very sad few days.
