Painting limes in a bowl

It’s freezing cold and we are well and truly into winter. It’s still a beautiful time in the garden. The delicate Camellias are out in full bloom. Their petals are so soft and white.  Amazingly there are still a few Gardenias hanging around.

Meanwhile my pug is sniffing all those fabulous winter smells. It’s also time to paint another acrylic. Inspired by the memories of limes in cool summer drinks and pretty pink ceramic bowls. Acrylic paints are easy to work with but they dry very quickly. A friend of mine said she preferred to work with oils because Acrylic paints required her to “commit” to the painting and that was too scary for her.

Whatever you’re doing this weekend I hope it makes you happy.
